As of May 2nd, Pratt Radio shows are officially on break for summer! As the semester comes to an end, listeners can look forward to new programming in the fall as well as all of their returning favorites. Special summer programming will be announced very soon, from new shows broadcasting to fresh local artists getting some well-deserved air time, and when our fall programming begins in September you can look forward to some great new shows as, for the very first time, Pratt Radio opens its doors to non-students interested in hosting shows. Stay tuned for more information and, as always, keep it locked on Pratt Radio!
The Rodent Hour is one of WPIR's premier talk shows, honing in on the arts, culture, music, and local happenings in the Clinton Hill area all at once. Hosted by Pratt employee Matt Townsend, "Rodent" examines the creative process by holding a "conversation with an artist", discussing their work while guests get the opportunity to share music that inspires them to create. The show has featured many notable guests in the past, including screenwriter/director Katie Torpey, guitarist Ed Oliver from "The
Professionals", founder of Ba Da Bing Records Ben Goldberg, and fashion photographer and stylist Jahn Hall just to name a few, and this week on "Rodent" expect to hear something with a little more of a local flair. "We're going to...give voice to some members of the Clinton Hill community," host Matt Townsend says, "and they
are going to share with us some alternative styles of Spanish music."
THE RODENT HOUR airs every Monday at 6:00 pm. TRH on Facebook
